About

Curve Radio launched on the 30th of August 2013 as a non-commercial radio station ran by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our team of talented presenters love getting on air and playing your requests. We have a wide range of genres represented at Curve Radio so you are bond to find something you like. Curve Radio's main focus has always been on the gaming community. Curve Fever has been the start of our adventure but we felt that our listeners found new interests. Grand Theft Auto (CrewRP) and Euro Truck Simulator 2 is where you can find us.

History

Curve Radio has changed over the years and keeps progressing to give the audience a perfect expierence.


2013

Curve Radio had just begun and streamed its first live broadcast to its worldwide audience.This image was taken a few days before the official release.


2014

This year brought with it a number of changes. Our team expanded with some new presenters joining the team. We also had a new website which included some new features. The Curve Radio logo was also updated from the cartoon style to a more professional look.


2015

Curve Radio celebrated it's 2nd birthday with a new website. It had a fresh new look along with some new features such as a new chat and request/shoutout features.


2018

Curve Radio turned 5! The website was updated again in 2018 to a cleaner look. Curve Radio also moved to a more stable streaming server creating a higher quality stream for our listeners.


2020

CurveRadio became Curve Radio adding a space in the name, like it orginally was. The slogan was also changed to "The Sound Of The Internet" to really show what we represent. Curve Radio also started to work on a new website with a clean look moving the request/shoutout and chat features to Discord. Some past presenters returned to Curve Radio as well and the team was growing once again. The team is excited for the future! Special thank you to Averazon who helped bring Curve back to its feet during a difficult time, without his love, support and dedication we would not be here today!

❔FAQ

The applicant has to meet the basic requirements, applying to each role.

  • You are 16 years or older at the time joining our team
  • Involved with GTAV RP or Euro Truck Simulator(TruckersMP) community


  • You verify having a good internet connection and working microphone
  • You can speak, write and read English
  • When not meeting rules to volunteer, you must make management aware and take action.

No you don't! Curve Radio has the mindset that everyone should learn and we are more than happy to guide you through that adventure. Our Curve Academy and presenters will be very useful in this process.

You will need to look into programs yourself and try your best to present a decent show. Along the way you will learn to improve those skills. Basically, prepare yourself and don't be a stranger to radio either. That's the right motivation!😀

Good question! The answer is yes and no...🤔

Presenter applications are permanently open to everyone in our community. Other positions, mostly management or community related, are open to apply when there is a vacancy (announced). The requirements to apply will be different and have higher standards. For some you will need to be in our community for a longer time.

You can find all information in our Discord Server (click) You can find the description of each role individually and can read what the position is about. When you are not sure about a position, feel free to ask a manager for more information.

Finding info on positions and applying for ANY position happens in our Discord Server too. You will see a channel called "join-curve-radio". In this channel you can view all information. Applying can be done by typing /apply


🕑Presenter Procedure

Get all the information you need before you apply. It is good to know if the position fits you! Make sure to read this page but also have a look on our Discord channel "join-curve-radio". All information is written in detail. Don't be afraid to talk to a presenter or manager when you have questions!

You will need to make:

  • a demo of 10 minutes. In this demo you will mostly present. Think about a cool show or fun subject to talk about! Play the first 15 seconds of each song and move to the last 15 seconds. We are interested in your presenting skills, anyone can press a play button😉
⚠️Upload your demo (YouTube, Soundcloud... not as a file). You will need to give us a link in your application

Go to #join-curveradio and type /apply Answer the questions of the bot and submit! You have just handed in your application

You will be contacted within 5 days. Prepare to get your introduction talk when you passed.



What will the introduction talk include? First we will give you feedback on your application, but also on your demo. We can provide a feedback file if you wish. When your application and demo "passed", you will get an introduction talk..



In the introduction talk, we will ask you some questions based on your application. Just to kinda see who you really are😉 If that is positive, you will be accepted to Curve Radio in that same call. You will know if you passed on the spot!

We are very thankful for you applying in both cases. Maybe you were lucky enough to pass, or just need that little more power to become a part of our team. But what does either really mean?



Accepted✔️ Awesome! You are now a part of the Curve Radio team😀 During your call with a manager, we will let you know how to proceed.



Declined❌ Ahh, you were almost there! No need to be disappointed. Candidate-Presenters can improve their skills just a little more and are able to re-apply 1 month after your result again. For special vacancies, you can re-apply when there is a new round.

About

Curve Radio is broadening their horizons to welcome a wider audience and this includes drivers from both Euro and American Truck Simulators. We are starting an open VTC which welcomes people to take part in convoys without strict rules which bind them to the VTC. You can come and go as you please!
